Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised within Malibu, California. She loved performing for loved ones and relatives as a young child. She was 8 years old when her mom enrolled her in her first acting course. In John Huston's film Annie in which she was a small role in which she was called an "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger was also a part of a variety of commercials on television. Salenger made her debut as a lead part in The Journey of Natty Gann, which was a Disney film starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the first US film to be awarded the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. In addition, the film won her "Best Actress in a Drama" during the Youth in Film Awards for her role as the young Natty Gann. She starred in four other films before she turned the age of 18. One of these featured in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that, she enrolled to Harvard to further her education.
